* 2 Stage Dialing! People call a US Based number to reach you. If you don't want friends, family and associates to have to call a satellite phone (an international number) give them the special Arizona based telephone number we provide you. They can then call that number but when you answer the phone you'll be paying $1.69 per minute. By doing this no call will ever cost anyone more than $1.69 per minute.
Airtime will be billed on the 10th of each month for the previous calendar month.
For Example: If your rental is in three calendar months, you will receive three airtime invoices. The last airtime invoice will be received on the 10th of the month following the calendar month the phone was returned.
Almost complete coverage of the earth including oceans, mountains, airways, deserts, remote rain forests and polar regions.
While the satellite phones MAY work indoors, iridium satellite phone service requires line of sight with the sky. Cloud coverage and foliage is usually okay but an artificial structure over your head is not.
Iridium complies with US embargo restrictions and as a result the following countries may not permit the use of Iridium Satellite phones or coverage may not be available: Cuba, Iran, North Korea. For some countries a permit is required in order to possess and operate a satellite phone, i.e. China, India, Myanmar. Please check either with the state department or local authorities if a permit is required.
