Why Rent a Satellite Phone
While cellular phone coverage in most of the urban areas in the United States is excellent you may be surprised to learn that the majority of rural America has no cell phone access. Although only a quarter of the population lives in rural areas, more than 75% of the land mass in the United States considered outside of city limits and outside of the reach of cell phone users.
Every year, hundreds of people and families get lost in national parks and other remote areas by wondering onto deserted paths during vacations, or end up caught in snow storms during the winter. Sometimes, a 2 minute emergency call could save precious lives if a satellite phone was available in the middle of nowhere. Satellite phones are becoming very popular because of their seamless and dedicated connectivity even in the remotest parts of the world at very affordable prices.
Planning on taking a cruise and need to stay in touch? At $12 to $15 per minute, one of the pleasures of cruising is not the ship to shore call rate.
